On the railroad track to success with throttle wide open, social networking is now an integral ingredient in our cyberspace environment. A map of interest, depicting the tremendous growth of dominant social networks by country can be found at ValleyWag.com

A new report from comScore reveals that several of the major social networking sites have experienced dramatic growth over the past year, and the trend is global, according to Helen Leggatt. Social networking continues to rise in popularity with Internet users across the globe. Recent figures released by comScore reveal huge rises in the number of visitors to the largest of the social networks. What was once considered a fad now attracts audiences that put it in the mainstream.

Today, with networking resources readily available, network limits are being stretched farther than ever before. As one can easily see the major social networking sites have increased considerably. Entertainment and social interaction is no longer the driving force/focus of social networking. It has indeed become a viable voice in the world of association business networking; affecting industries, associations, businesses and internet users alike. This visible growth sends a loud message that we cannot wear blinders when it comes to social networking. Once just a local internet neighborhood, in times past, simply an information highway; this cyberspace global trend has mutated from road travel to rocket launching. This creature we call Global Social Networking is now a part of our real world, and has taken on a life of its own.
